Who We Are
Founded in Nyangoma Division, Siaya County, the Nyangoma Development Organisation (NYADO) brings together local leaders, volunteers and partners to drive sustainable development from within. We believe in enabling communities to lead change — through education, participation and collective action.
Our Story & Impact
In this area of Siaya County many households face limited access to quality education, few livelihood options and little voice in community decisions. We started NYADO to change that story — to partner with locals, harness potential and build solutions from within. Over the years we’ve reached families, trained youths, supported businesses and planted trees.
Through our strategic plan (2025–2030), NYADO has begun transforming ideas into measurable impact:
- Acquired and secured 2 acres of land for a Development Resource Centre.
- Mobilised women and youth groups for savings and investment.
- Conducted health outreach programs and awareness campaigns.
- Partnered with local institutions to promote vocational training.
